out & about
{re}design had itself a little outing recently. this here table was set for the Little Green Home Show which took place a few weeks ago. to all those that made it out despite the heat and those pesky, all too-tempting sidewalk sales, it was lovely to meet you. and of course, a special thanks to all those who helped make the whole deal happen.

something old, something new
stumbled upon this little friend at one of my favorite sources for cheap and surprising second hand finds. my companion for the afternoon wasn't too keen on accommodating the set of drawers in her backseat, which was understandable considering its state.
however, with a bit of sanding, priming & cleaning, and few coats of old white paint, the piece acquired some charm and a new purpose. it now contains my papers, small projects, and supplies.

total: $22.50

A Starting Point
(RE)DESIGN was recently hired to make sense of the basement apartment below Dave and Nancy's home. It was a rewarding and challenging first job. Dave and Nancy are people of incredible heart; every cupboard and drawer offered proof of their love for their family and friends. However, the little space also had the misfortune of becoming a dumping ground of sorts, a place to put all the excess stuff the couple had acquired over the years.
